The Greeting Farm Royal Battle - Week 2

Well our group the "Faux Farmers" made it to week 2 of the The Greeting Farm's Royal Battle.  This week the card that is being submitted by our group is mine.  The challenge was to create an easel card.  I have never made one.  And there for awhile it seemed like everyone was making these.  I have admired everyone else's easel cards but never thought it was for me.  Well I was wrong.  I had lots of fun making this easel card.  Almost all of the easel cards I have seen have been squares.  And being me, I wanted something unique.  So I used my Cricut and the Accent Essentials cartridge to cut two scalloped circles.  I had my circles sitting on my desk and I thought of how wonderful some lace would be sandwiched in-between the two.  I got out my sticky strip, added the lace and stuck them together.

I love this paper by KC&Company.  I thought is would be perfect with my Cheeky Glamour stamp.  She is so cha-cha.  You may not be able to see in the photo but I added some glitter to her hose and some white fluff to her boa.  I also added some rhinestone flourishes & flowers by Prima.  The ivory pearls are from the Stampin Up Pretties Kit.

Next came the choice of what to put on the inside.  I wanted a cute saying.  I remembered I had some rub-ons to use.  So "Have your cake and eat it too" was perfect!  And of course I added more bling.  I mounted the strip on some foam tape to make it stand up so it would hold back the top.

So please go VOTE for the Faux Farmers at The Greeting Farm Galleria so we can move on to Week 3!

Hope everyone has a very Happy Easter!
