I can't believe this is the last day of January. Already this year is flying by. My post today will be of a banner I made entirely with my Cricut. And also is my entry for the Just Us Girls Challenge #18. Their challenge this week us to create a banner. Preferably love related.
Sometimes I feel like using my Cricut is cheating because it does all the hard work for me. But I do like the results. I cut out 6 hearts (Doodlecharms cartridge) using Bravo Burgundy and 3 with Pretty in Pink. I cut the letters out of Pretty in Pink and shadowed with Going Gray. I tied it all together by stacking ALL of the hearts together and using my Crop-a-dile cutting once in each corner. That thing makes to so easy to punch through multiple layers. And then I tied cream grosgrain ribbon inbetween and on the ends. This is proudly hanging above my TV. The overall length is about 5 ft. I hope you enjoy!

I love that you made the pennants hearts! And you used your Cricut! I just got one and used it on mine too! This is lovely and what a nice way to decorate for Valentine's Day! Thanks for playing with Just Us Girls!
ReplyDeleteEeek! I forgot that doodlecharms has these adorable hearts on it! I have GOT to play with cricut more often. THis is too cute! Thanks so much for playing with Just Us Girl this week!
ReplyDeleteGenetta, This Heart pennant banner is so sweet! I too feel like using the Cricut is cheating but someone has to program it, push the button, load the paper :) It's the whole process! I don't know why we women have to think everything has to be a chore! Let's enjoy life's small pleasures, even if it is an electric toy called a Cricut!!! :) Thanks so much for playing along with Just Us Girls pennant banner challenge! Hope you join us Saturday for an all new challenge!
ReplyDeleteGenetta what a great little pennant banner - I love that you have it over your TV! How cool is that. And using your Cricut is NOT cheating - it's being an efficient papercrafter :-) Thanks for playing along with Just Us Girls.
